What the work covers

  • Driveways

    Poured concrete or pavers set on a base that is compacted and graded to drain. The base is the job — the surface is just the part you see.

  • Walkways and sidewalks

    Even runs, clean edges, and a fall that sheds water instead of holding it against the house or icing over in January.

  • Paver and repair work

    Brick and paver work laid to a pattern that holds, and sunken or heaved sections re-set properly rather than patched over.

  • Grading and drainage

    We set the levels so water leaves the slab. Get that wrong and no amount of concrete survives a Chicago freeze.

When to call us

You do not need to know what is wrong. Any of these is reason enough to send a photo — and if the honest answer is “nothing yet”, that is the answer you get.

It cracks because of what is under it and where the water goes. We spend the time on the base and the grade, because that is the part that decides whether the slab is still flat in ten winters.
